What We Do
AgLink Canada helps grow clean, quality, sustainable food
Over the next 35 years the Earth’s population will grow from 7 billion to 9 billion. That’s another extra 215,000 mouths to feed every day. The challenge for producers will be to increase their production of quality food and fibre. Utilizing scarce resources – land, water and labour – in more productive ways to meet the growing demand for clean, quality food, is an increasing challenge.
AgLink Canada retails are independently owned businesses operating in Canada and have been actively supporting Canadian growers to address this challenge.
AgLink Canada member Retails maintain a large group of qualified professionals providing agronomic advice and leadership, supported by the supply of reputable products to Canadian growers, helping them produce greater amounts of clean, sustainable Fruits/Vegetables, Wheat, Barley, Canola, Corn, Oats, Peas, Beans, Lentils, Potatoes and many specialty crops including Forages.
AgLink Canada has a strong focus on innovation, research and development, facilitating trials of new chemical, fertilizer and seed technology on behalf of our partner suppliers.
We also focus strongly on development of our members through facilitating educational opportunities which enhance the skills in leadership and product knowledge of our members teams.
Our members generate revenue of more than $550 Million per annum, and employ 650 people, including over 100 agronomists. Importantly our Retail Members maintain very strong ties to the communities they are located in and the grower Clientele they have partnered with.
